37 Student Rights and Responsibilities

As faculty and instructional staff, it is important for you to familiarize yourself with the rights and responsibilities of students so that you can support student success. The Student Rights and Responsibilities Office (SRRO) promotes a community of care and respect and provides the KPU Community with accurate, consistent, and balanced information on KPU’s Student Conduct (Non-Academic) Policy (ST7) and Procedures and  Sexual Violence Misconduct Policy (SR14) and Procedures. We suggest including a link to their webpage (www.kpu.ca/srr) in your course syllabus as this assists students in knowing what to expect from KPU, and what KPU expects from its students. Additionally, the SRRO has set up a SharePoint page populated with useful resources which includes KPU’s green sheet – the Students in Distress Employee Resource.
