59 Graduation and Convocation

Graduation

Graduation is the term used to acknowledge that a student has satisfied all program requirements and their credential request has been audited by the Office of the Registrar and conferred by KPU’s Senate.

Every candidate for a credential is required to formally apply for graduation following the process outlined online at https://www.kpu.ca/graduation. Students who have completed courses at another post-secondary institution and are requesting Transfer Credit are required to have all documentation submitted and assessed prior to submitting an application to graduate.

KPU’s Senate approves credentials each month between the months of September and June as per the Senate meeting schedule.

Students who have completed courses at another post-secondary institution and are requesting Transfer Credit are required to have all documentation submitted and assessed prior to submitting an application to graduate.

Convocation

Convocation is a time-honoured tradition, and at KPU we host two convocations each year. Faculty are encouraged to attend convocation ceremonies and celebrate the achievements of our students. Check this webpage to find out more about KPU’s convocation ceremonies: http://www.kpu.ca/convocation
