First Aid

​Facilities Support Generalists (FSGs) are trained to provide first aid support. First Aid, Facilities and Security telephone numbers are posted in all rooms, near the light switch, across all campuses. Security Services provides a safe walk service for employees and staff.

Safety

Faculty and instructional staff should call 9-1-1 if they feel that there is an immediate threat.  Trust your instincts: if a situation feels threatening, leave or seek assistance.  Report all suspicious individuals or activities to Security immediately. NOTE: If you find yourself in such a situation, you must report the details to the Dean as soon as possible.

Employees in the BCGEU and KFA have provisions in their respective collective agreements regarding safety. BCGEU members should refer to Article 28; KFA members should refer to Article 20.
