Module 5: Week 10 Joerdis Facilitator Lead

Welcome to Week 10 – Looking Forward
by Joerdis Weilandt – Sunday, 1 December 2019, 3:56 PM

Dear all,

Moving into week 10 in FLOf2019, we have almost reached the finishing line to this online course. However, since the skillset required for teaching online is highly complex (Ní Shé. et. al, 2019), you might see that you will need to take further steps to further develop your competencies in the design and facilitation of online courses.

We would like to invite you to take a pro-active approach to identifying what skills you want to build going forward and have thus created an activity that will guide you in the planning of your future PD. If you would like to share with us some of the ideas you generate out of the task for workshops, modules, or other forms of PD the Teaching Centre can design to help you develop your skills, please feel invited to respond to this post. Note that there is no need that you do though.

This week will be another very short one with merely one activity to complete that should take you about 90 minutes. Since there is no need to collaborate, you will not even need to plan any time for peer-to-peer communication.

Wishing all of you a smooth sprint to the end of the term and atop the marking piles,

Joerdis and Kristi,
