Week 9: REFLECTION REVISITED
Module Outcomes
Given one week and time to reflect, participants will…
- embark on a guided self-examination of their online learning experiences through the FLOf course
- critically examine how the multifaceted aspects of online learning have influenced their teaching/learning
- analyze how the differences in FLOf module design and facilitation have impacted their learning
Introduction
This 1-week module is designed to offer you a space to reflect on your learning experiences you had throughout the FLOf course. The hope is that by revisiting the reflective process, it will serve to deepen your learning, on a holistic level. Now that you have had the opportunity to experience online learning from both an instructor and student perspective, you have been able to experience the social and emotional aspects of online learning more holistically.
As instructors, professors, and lifelong learners, we naturally question information and our surroundings.
“The humble question can be a powerful tool. By asking questions, we learn, analyze, understand—and can move forward in the face of uncertainty. When confronted with almost any demanding situation, in work or life, the act of questioning can help guide us to smart decisions and a sensible course of action. But the questions must be the right ones; the ones that cut to the heart of a complex challenge,or that enable us to see an old problem in a fresh way” (Berger, n.d.).
And so it is through the reflective questioning process that we hope you will discover a deeper meaning to your FLOf experience.
LEARNING ACTIVITIES THIS WEEK:
STEP 1: Participants will take the time to reflect on their FLOf journey and share their reflections on the course discussion board.
