OUTCOMES:

Given your active participation throughout the week, you will achieve the following module outcomes:

  • learn about different types of online learners,
  • know educational theories of group formation,
  • apply understanding of group dynamics to online group work,
  • evaluate the facilitation of group work in FLOf 2019,
  • deal with conflict ethically and effectively.
LEARNING ACTIVITIES THIS WEEK:

ACTIVITY 1. Theory  Participants will acquaint themselves with benefits and challenges relating to team work in online contexts

ACTIVITY 2. Resources EvaluationParticipants browse a collection of evidence-based guides for the planning and evaluation of group work.

ACTIVITY 3. Special Issues – Participants read a chapter on strategies to address online classroom dynamics and work out conflicts with different types of online learners.

ACTIVITY 4. Continue Wikipedia Editing – Participants can continue to edit an assigned article in Wikipedia to further familiarize themselves with the process.
