Week 8: FACILITATING COLLABORATIVE READING ACTIVITIES
Introduction
Last week, you learned about Gilly Salmon’s Five Stage Model and reflected on online facilitation strategies used in the FLOf course as they relate to the online framework. This week, we will continue to explore the Five Stage Model; in doing so, you and your assigned team will reflect on facilitation techniques outlined in the FLOf readings and course activities and then decide how to facilitate your own online reading activity. Teams will be required to develop a detailed lesson plan demonstrating their understanding of teacher presence and stages of the Five Stage Model.
