Preface
¡Voy en camino! means I’m on my way! Since learning an additional language and the culture in which it is spoken is a journey in itself, we think that both the title and illustration of ¡Voy en camino! capture the voyage to get there.
The Spanish language Faculty team has been committed to KPU Zero Textbook Cost (ZTC) initiative since its insertion in 2018. ¡Voy en camino! solidifies our commitment to ZTC by having created an open education resource made in KPU for KPU students.
¡Voy en camino! is meant to serve the first two introductory Spanish language courses within our program. Spanish 1100 is served from units 1 to 4, and Spanish 1101 from units 5 to 7. However, with its digital format and open publication, we also want to extend ¡Voy en camino! to any interested user.
With ¡Voy en camino! we are elated to join the Spanish teaching open education community and hope that by sharing our practice we may find many more collaborations along the way.
