Land Acknowledgment

Oki! Welcome to  the University of Lethbridge online community! I would like to acknowledge that the University of Lethbridge is situated on Treaty 7 territory, the lands of the Kainai Blackfoot Nation whom we pay our respect past, present, and future while recognizing and respecting their cultural heritage, beliefs, and relationship to the land.   The city of Lethbridge is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta, Region III.

My name is Adriana– pronouns she/her.  I am very happy to be your Writing instructor this semester. I am a very passionate teacher and I welcome your curiosity and passion for learning. Our course is designed to be engaging, interactive and challenging. I am happy to support your learning journey, so please email me whenever you have questions or concerns.
Our course is available on Moodle. The course is divided in six Modules. Each Module will take two weeks to complete (10-15 hours per week). To be well prepared for class, make sure that you have good internet connection and a computer/ tablet/spamrtphone with audio and microphone. You will need to access online resources such as Moodle, Teams, and your Uleth email account for coursework, homework, peer interaction and reviewing content. Read the required texts before watching the recorded lectures, write down questions you have, research topics of interest, and be ready to share your ideas with peers in the discussion forum on Moodle and peer interaction on Teams.
I look forward to learning more from each and everyone of you in the Introduction and Course Expectation Assignment and the many discussions we will have on Moodle and Teams. Together we can build a sense of community and make our course great!
