12 Feedback & Communication

In the communication process, feedback binds the sender and encoding together.  It ensures that the sender’s message is encoded correctly by the receiver.  For those who are not yet familiar with the terms “sender” and “encoded”,  the sender is the person sending the message while encoder means interpreting the message to it’s original meaning. In other words, it means that with feedback, the sender will know whether the receiver understand the question to its original intent. In an organization, it ensures that tasks are completed and understanding future work through interactions. Feedback can also be seen as a report for the CEO with the progress update (Dixit, 2018).
