11.1.3 A Total Commitment

Third, given the supremacy of divine will, the religious identity must be a total commitment on the part of its members (Antoun 2001, 85 –116). If God is our ultimate authority, and His will is clear and knowable, then His will must be our ultimate commitment. God’s will should, therefore, suffuse all aspects of the believer’s life and (as we’ll see) the society they inhabit.
