7 Prepare for Vocational Trades Math Tests
You may need to take a Vocational Trades Assessment for Math. Here are some basic steps to self test and get ready.
Review Math Concepts

This document covers all the math concepts that may appear on the test.
Not all the topics will appear in the test each time. It only covers the concepts and does not cover the specific format of the test questions.

Solve the Questions
Start by trying to solve the questions. If you are stuck on one for more than a couple of minutes move on! The worksheet shows you the areas that you already know as well as the ones where you need to review the specific math topics. It is not necessary to waste your time at this step. You can finish it after your learning. If you believe your current level is good enough, you can try to finish the questions and check with the answer key, then jump to “Better to Do Before your Test”.
Review Each Concept One at a Time
If you are remembering only some or don’t now all of these math concepts, this is normal. The worksheet will give you a general assessment of your current math level so now is the time for you to sit down and brush up on your numbers. You will find tailored resources (videos, reference sheets, worksheets, etc.) on relevant math areas and will be able to use these to practise to improve.
