Doing UDL: Strategies to Try

As you will have seen, having student feedback is incredibly helpful when it comes to planning next steps. From accessible teaching practices and accommodation plans, from multi-modality to strong course structure, students give us places to start. In all cases, as you are reflecting on your teaching and design practice, think of ways that you can gather ideas from students as an ongoing part of the design process.

What follows is a list of those starting places and a quick description of what you can do to integrate them into your teaching practice.

This section is where you can dip in and out, ask yourself questions, get some inspiration, and based on the students’ ideas, figure out steps forward in your UDL journey.
