Over the duration of the semester, periodically let your students know how they are meeting the course’s learning goals. If possible:

  1. Begin your assessments with smaller, low-stakes assignments and tests to communicate early in the semester how students can improve.
  2. Encourage student involvement by providing opportunities to reflect on their learning expectations, processes, and aims
