Tips To Maintain Work-Life Balance During Covid-19
In a rapid spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), many people including labor, students, and teachers are stuck at home. They all are performing their duties while sitting at home and maintaining social distancing. No more handshakes, hugs, or high fives, but we can foot shake.
None of us are used to maintaining such distance in our daily life and now there is a only 2-meter distance between all. In conclusion, all schools, colleges, and businesses are closed. This makes it difficult for everyone to maintain a routine during the lockdown. I have come up with some easy and fun solutions that we all should try to make this new situation our good companion.
1. Create a new routine (work/study):
No doubt we have plenty full of time out of our day but we can still become lazy or clumsy and to cope with this situation, we should make a healthy routine. That should include all our activities like going for a walk, exercising at home, cooking a new dish and most importantly when to study and when to work (from home).
Make one of your rooms your office or classroom where no one can disturb you.
2. Have online social interactions:
Use What’s app video call or Skype or students can do Zoom meeting with their professor. This new age of the internet removes all the barriers that could restrict social interaction between people. Discuss some good topics like how is your life going during the lockdown. Share some delicious recipes with your brother or sister residing in other parts of the world.
3. Master something:
You got a lot of time now that you can make yourself perfect in anything whether it’s a difficult dance step you have been trying to learn or its different cuisine that you cook bad all the time. Students can try to learn that course or something in which they suffer a lot.
4. Mentally Detach yourself from job:
Now it is the time for which you have been waiting for a long time. Detach yourself from work both mentally and physically. To be very honest, everyone is going through a financial crunch, but being mentally unfit is also not a good thing. Start mediating now, relax. Take less stress about the job and start spending quality time with family.
So, here were some tips to make our lockdown fun and productive. I learned cooking in the lockdown which I thought was a very difficult skill, but it turns out to be very easy, fun, and healthy. Now I cook at home every day instead of purchasing food from places outside.
It might take us time to fit into the situation but it’s never too late. We all are in this together. We should wear proper masks and maintain proper distancing with our fellow mates to keep everyone safe. Let us keep everyone’s family complete and happy.
