2 How to Cook a Steak – Dean Dela Cruz

WHAT YOU NEED:

· Ribeye Steak

· Plate

· Montreal Steak Spice

· Stove

· Non-stick frying pan

· Tongs

· Knife

 

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Put the steak on a plate and let it warm to room temperature.

2. Turn on the stove to low-medium heat. (usually number 3 on a stove).

3. Pre-heat the non-stick frying pan for 3-5 minutes.

4. While waiting, season the steak with Montreal Steak Spice (both sides).

5. Turn on the light and the vent of the stove.

6. Put the steak in the frying pan. Leave the steak in the pan for 7 minutes.

7. After 7 minutes, turn the steak using tongs. (Be careful not to scratch the pan when using metal tongs.) Leave the steak in the pan for another 7 minutes.

8. Depends on how you would like your steak. Remove the steak off the pan. Cut the steak in the middle with a knife, and check for doneness.

Steak doneness chart. Rare is 50 degrees and feels soft. Medium-rare is 55 and feels soft with slight resistence. Medium is 57.5 and feels firm to soft. Medium-well is 60 and feels firm, well-done is 65 and feels very firm.

9. Remove the steak out of the frying pan with your tongs and put it on a plate.

10. Turn off the stove, vent, and light.

11. Cut the steak, and let it rest for 5 minutes before eating. Enjoy!
