The Open Education Workbook: A Journey Through Accessible, Effective, and Equitable Teaching workbook  series was developed by Amanda Grey, Open Education Strategist in the Teaching and Learning Commons at Kwantlen Polytechnic University.

The series is designed to guide faculty through the principles and practices of open education, with each workbook capable of standing alone or being used as part of the complete professional development journey.

About This Open Version: This Pressbooks edition has been made freely available under an open license for educators at any institution to use and adapt. You can read it online, download it, and modify it to fit your institutional context and faculty needs.

How to Use This Resource

For individual faculty: Work through the sections at your own pace, engaging with the reflective prompts and practical strategies in whatever format works best for you (personal notes, teaching journal, or conversations with colleagues).

For institutions adapting this resource: Feel free to modify the content to reflect your institutional context, resources, and support structures. You might replace KPU-specific examples with your own institutional information, adjust timelines, or integrate this into your professional development framework.
