Part 1: Managing Your LaTeX Project

The number of resources on project management are infinite. Managing any type of conversion project would benefit from many of these resources.

If you don’t have time for further research, consider these questions before you start your conversion project :

• what are the the characteristics and expectations of the conversion project?
• who are the stakeholders?
• what is the scope?
• what are the factors for success and failure? What are the risks?
• what resources and expertise you will need for completion?
• what is the defined time you have to complete it?

These are standard project management principles that will be addressed in this publication within the context of a Pressbooks conversion project requiring LaTeX.
