From summer to winter, the seasons can impact how our skin feels and looks and now as the summer has arrived, it is very important to take care of our skin. Below are some steps by which we can keep our skin healthy and glowing this summer.

  • Face Wash- The first step is choosing right face wash. We should know the type of our skin and should buy face wash accordingly. We should use a face wash that suits our skin and that can deep cleanse and remove all the dirt and grime. Always opt for non-comedogenic and Ph balanced cleanser.
  • Stay Hydrated- Hydration is the key at all times during summer. For staying hydrated we should drink at least eight glasses of water every day. We can also use some hydrating face masks and should wash our face frequently with water to freshen our skin at regular intervals.
  • Exfoliating- It is very important to exfoliate our skin at least twice a week to remove excess dirt and oil from the skin. But remember to always use a scrub that is suitable for your skin and massage it gently in circular motion.
  • Wear Sunscreen- The most important thing to do in summer is wearing sunscreen. The UV rays of sun can be very harsh for the skin and can give you a stubborn tan. They can cause wrinkles, premature ageing and also fine lines. We should apply sunscreen daily also if we are not going anywhere outside. The best sunscreen is of SPF 30-50 for the summer months of all skin types.
  • Toning- Toner is very important for our skin. It makes our skin look fresh and healthy. It helps in removing excess oil from our face and also helps in maintaining Ph balance of our skin. It also helps in reducing the appearance of pores. It acts as a makeup remover also. Rose water is a good toner for the skin.
  • Moisturizer- Moisturizing daily reduces skin problems. It reduces the chances of getting extreme dry or oily skin which is the main cause of acne. Moisturizer helps to keep our skin young. It also reduces the appearance of other blemishes.
  • Makeup- Heavy makeup prevents the skin from breathing. Humidity and heat also impact the skin’s ability to breathe. Instead of heavy foundation and other cosmetic products try to use just a tinted lip balm and a tinted moisturizer if you wish to wear some makeup.
  • Fruits- fruits and fresh juices are good way to stay hydrated. They help us to stay healthy and fit. Also, some fruits like water melon are good for hydration. Fruits gives us various vitamins that are essential for our body to function well.
  • Clothes- Cotton is the best fabric to wear during summer. We should wear light and loose clothes so that air can pass through our body easily and we do not feel any kind of irritation.
  • Take bath twice a day- At last, take bath twice a day because maintaining good hygiene is very important during summer. Both the morning and night bath should be followed with cleansing, toning and moisturizing routine.
