5 Solution Implementation

Imagine you have gone through the innovative and creative problem solving process: deeply understood the problem, identified all possible solutions, selected the PERFECT solution, or combination of solutions based on the organizational priorities and goals. It is now time to implement.

So you put a team together, perhaps it’s an innovation task force of some kind consisting of yourself and maybe a few others… and the concept stops dead in its tracks.

You’re met with all sorts of passive aggressive, or perhaps sometimes aggressive responses from those you need to engage and buy into the innovation / improvement to move forward. Perhaps you’re also met with bureaucratic limitations such as outdated policies or challenges hiring the right people for the right amount of honest to make these changes and innovations happen. There are all sorts of potential limitations that can get in your way!

The fundamental element that MUST be in place for creative thinking to not only take place, but also result in innovative change, is organizational culture, which drives organizational structure, responsiveness, and openness to risk and change both at the individual and organizational levels.
