Lifespan Cognition Lab Outreach

Joban Chahal is a Bachelor of Science student and Outreach Manager at the Lifespan Cognition Lab, where she focuses on building meaningful connections between research and the community. She leads community outreach initiatives that aim to make research more accessible and engaging beyond academic settings. Through organizing events and connecting with diverse audiences, she has developed a strong interest in knowledge sharing and public engagement. She has also contributed to content creation, including blog posts and outreach materials. Her experiences have allowed her to build meaningful connections within the community and better understand how research can be translated in accessible ways. Joban is interested in topics surrounding mental health, advocacy, and access to information.

Jaskirat Bajwa is a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology student currently working as a project manager at the Lifespan Cognition Lab. She also helps to supervise outreach activities in the research lab. She takes a keen interest in sharing research and aspires to make research more accessible to the community. She has presented at conferences and helped with content creation, editing blog posts, and participating in community outreach events. Her efforts to lead research projects and conduct outreach events has allowed her to initiate dialogue with community members and build community connections. She is also passionate about mental health topics and hopes to expand her knowledge in this field through academic pursuits.

Ishdeep Doshanjh is currently in her fourth year of a BA in Psychology, and her academic journey has shaped much of her interest in human thought and behavior. Ishdeep joined the Lifespan Cognition Lab as a practicum student in the summer of 2025 and has since continued as a Research Assistant, where she also contributes by managing the lab’s social media and website.

Isha Gill is an undergraduate student majoring in Health Sciences. She is a part of the recruitment team with the Lifespan Cognition Lab, where she contributes to community outreach. She has participated in outreach events at Guilford, engaging with the public and assisting in recruiting participants by encouraging community members to sign up for the lab. In addition to outreach she is beginning to contribute with lab content for the labs social media platforms. As well as working on blog posts with a draft currently in progress. Through these experiences Isha had developed skills in communication and public engagement.
