Week 1 General Objectives

General Objectives

By the end of this week, the student will:

  • Know the location, structure and function of the macroscopic and microscopic components of the urinary system.
  • Understand the adaptive mechanisms necessary for fluid and electrolyte balance in relationship to specified electrolytes.
  • Know the location, structure and function of selected macroscopic and microscopic components of the nervous system.
  • Understand the interrelationship between the nervous system and selected activities of other body systems through nervous feedback adjustment mechanisms.
  • Understand the physiological action and resultant manifestations of selected classifications of drugs related to urinary system, fluid and electrolyte balance and the nervous system.
